A story of love, culture, and a little sweetness
I was born and raised in Taiwan, a place known for its vibrant and diverse street food culture. One of my favorite childhood memories is walking home from school and passing a bubble waffle stand. The sweet aroma of freshly cooked batter would fill the air, making my stomach growl and my mouth water.
Now, after living in Canada for more than half of my life, I would love to share a piece of Taiwan's food culture with Canadians. Traditional Taiwanese bubble waffles are typically served without filling. However, inspired by my love for both Taiwanese and Canadian cultures, I created my own version by filling them with rich French Vanilla, Nutella Chocolate, and Lemon pastry cream. This unique combination celebrates the flavours and traditions of both Taiwan and Canada, bringing together the best of each culture in every bite.
Quality is at the heart of everything I make. Every bubble waffle and every batch of pastry cream is made completely from scratch using fresh, locally sourced organic whole milk, cream and eggs from right here in Alberta. By using simple, high-quality ingredients, my creation is a treat that is both comforting and memorable.
Every bubble waffle I serve is a tribute to my Taiwanese roots and my Canadian home.
